CSCA(Country Signing Certification Authority): CSCA is responsible for the issuance of national signature certificate, and provides digi
tal credentials that enable mutual recognition among countries for E-passports.
DS(Digital Signature): DS is responsible for digitally signing the sensitive data in passport chip to ensure integrity and authenticity of the c
hip data.
CVCA(Country Verifying Certificate Authority): CVCA is responsible for protecting the fingerprint,iris and other biometric information st
oredin in E-passport chip to prevent unauthorized access.
SKMS(Symmetrical Key Management System): SKMS is responsible for providing permission control for the data written to the E-passp
ort chip.
NPKD(National Public Key Directory): NPKD is responsible for uploading the signature certificates of domestic documents to the ICAO P
KD and downloading the signature certificates of other countries from ICAO PKD.
As the chief integrator for the first phase of electronic service passport project for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with years of experience and state-of-the-art technologies, NJA became a successful tenderer again for the second phase of this e-passport project. The successful bid laid a solid foundation for NJA in foreign affairs informatization area, it is also a demonstration of NJA’s professional and technical strength in this field.
